An album of rare and unreleased Tommy Bolin music will be launched next month via Cleopatra Records.
Whirlwind includes songs the Deep Purple guitarist was preparing for his third solo album before his tragic death in 1976.
It also features recordings by his jazz-rock outfit Energy and a 26-minute version of Marching Powder, called Marching Bag, from his album Teaser.
Bolin, who also worked with the James Gang and the Billy Cobham Band, among others, died aged 25 in 1976 after a drugs overdose.
The annual Tommy Bolin Music Festival takes place on August 3 in his home town of Sioux City, Iowa.
