Los Angeles, California - As “dream teams” go, this one takes a lot of beating!

Fresh from his career redefining collaboration with producer Adrian Sherwood in 2022, Horace Andy, one of the all-time masters of Jamaican roots, returns with an earth-shattering new album, and a stunning new partnership, too.
Jamaican roots reggae master and Massive Attack collaborator Horace Andy teams up with former PiL bassist Jah Wobble for a brand new set of studio recordings!

Timeless Roots is an aptly titled album. Recorded with Jah Wobble, whose revolutionary bass playing redesigned dub for the modern age, this brand new set of studio recordings sees Andy looking back over an already legendary career, and upping the ante even further.

Dropping today, Andy’s new single “One Love” is a fearless recounting of what was already regarded among his most stellar performances - he recorded it first in 1991 with trip hop pioneers Massive Attack, inaugurating a relationship which itself sounds as potent today as it did 30 years ago.

Yet it is only one highlight on an album destined to out-perform any of Andy’s past masterpieces.

Across the disc, one of the most distinguished and inimitable voices in reggae thoroughly shines on such daringly rearranged classics as Stevie Wonder's “Superstition," The Beatles' "Come Together," America's "A Horse With No Name” and the Five Stairsteps’ soul classic “O-o-h Child,” PLUS new versions of Andy's own classics “Skylarking,” "Natty Dread A Weh She Want" and - reflecting again on his work with Massive Attack - a superlative rearrangement of “Spying Glass.”

Wobble's signature production, meanwhile, blends reggae with modern dub, world music - and more!!! - to fashion one of the richest reggae albums likely to be released this year!

“Horace is a living legend,” says Wobble.  “It is an honour to be able to back him, along with my sons and Jon Klein, on this classic selection of tunes.”
