Los Angeles, California: Melanie’s Children, the act formed by the three children of the late Melanie Safka, have made their concert debut.
Accompanied by Melanie’s two eldest grandchildren, Annalisa and Christiana, the trio of Beau Jarred, Jeordie and Leilah came together to celebrate their mother’s all-in-one holiday season ChristMaHannaValloWeen with a vibrant performance, now viewable on the streaming platform Anywhereseat.com.

The one hour concert includes material from many of their mother’s recent Cleopatra Records rereleases, including the albums Ragamuffin, The Lost 1979 Album, Central Park 1974, Reimaginings, Silver Anniversary and the upcoming Ace o’Diamonds. It includes such timeless hits as “Candles In The Rain,” “Brand New Key,” “What Have They Done To My Song, Ma” and Melanie’s unique reinterpretation of the Rolling Stones’s “Ruby Tuesday.”
Another highlight is their performance of "Aloha Lucifer," a later Melanie composition that recently gained a whole new audience in the hands of goth duo Charming Disaster.
The show can be seen, too, as an icebreaker ahead of Melanie’s Children’s recording debut, accompanying their mother on her forthcoming children’s album Lullabies from Heaven, work on which commenced shortly before Melanie’s sudden death in January of this year. The group’s own first album will follow later in 2025.
Happy ChristMaHannaValloWeen will be streaming until after the Thanksgiving break. In addition, vocalist Leilah will be available for interviews.
