Quiet Riot
Quiet Riot is an American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1973 by guitarist Randy Rhoads and bassist Kelly Garni. The band is best known for their breakthrough album Metal Health (1983), which became the first heavy metal album to top the Billboard 200 chart, propelled by hit singles like "Cum On Feel the Noize" and "Metal Health (Bang Your Head)." Despite lineup changes and challenges, including the death of lead vocalist Kevin DuBrow in 2007 and drummer Frankie Banali in 2020, Quiet Riot has continued to tour and release music. The band remains a significant influence in the heavy metal genre, celebrated for their role in bringing metal to mainstream success in the 1980s.
