Nazz
Nazz was an American rock band formed in Philadelphia in 1967, founded by guitarist and songwriter Todd Rundgren and bassist Carson Van Osten. Known for their blend of psychedelic and garage rock, the band gained attention with their debut single “Open My Eyes” and the original version of “Hello It’s Me.” Nazz released two albums, Nazz (1968) and Nazz Nazz (1969), before disbanding later that year. After the breakup, a collection of archival recordings was released as Nazz III. Todd Rundgren’s later solo version of “Hello It’s Me” became a top 5 hit in the U.S., cementing the song's place in rock history.
