B.B. King, born Riley B. King on September 16, 1925, was an American blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter, hailed as one of the most influential blues musicians of all time. Known as "The King of the Blues," B.B. King introduced a sophisticated soloing style characterized by fluid string bending, shimmering vibrato, and staccato picking, which shaped the sound of modern blues. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987, he is celebrated as one of the "Three Kings of the Blues Guitar," alongside Albert King and Freddie King.
